    Truly, why would you put coins into circulation that cost more to produce than what they are worth...unless a newer value to the money is issued?...It was said a few times over the years in some articles that this was the reason they were not being used...the costs!...I assume they brought them back online due to new higher RV'd rate coming???...We Will see!!!

    In 2004, new 25, 50, and 100 dinars coins were introduced. However, these coins proved to be unpopular & were withdrawn from circulation.

    As you know, the 25 and 100 dinars coins are back on the CBI now.

    I have heard that the coins costs more to make than the paper currency...so they supposedly pulled them due to numismatic worth/metal content, and/or minting costs versus paper, etc...as per what they would bring at such a low exchange rate...possibly even to collectors...maybe kind of like the theory..whereby some state that the penny here in the US is more valuable for the copper content than it's face value to spend...all IMO....

    Nice find! I just did my daily check to CBI and came across this. I should've checked here first
