The Commission issued a report for the first quarter of the current year on the activity of trading in the Iraqi market for securities, which included the performance of the market during the chapter in terms of volume of trading and the number of shares traded and executed contracts, as well as non-Iraqis and the market value of shares and index, as well as other indicators showing the effectiveness of the market as a tool Economic volume in activating the investment structure.

report, which obtained the "morning" a copy of the decline in trading volume during the first quarter of 2018 to about 92.2 billion dinars compared to about 96.0 billion dinars during the fourth quarter of 2017 and a decrease Of 3.9 percent, Pointing out that the volume of trading for the first quarter fell by 49.0 percent from the first quarter of 2017.

He pointed out that the banking sector ranked first in terms of volume of trading, which amounted to about 48.0 billion dinars, or 52.0 percent of the total, while the second place was the industrial sector, where the turnover amounted to about 26.7 billion dinars and by 28, 9% of the total, while in third place was the hotel sector, where the turnover amounted to about 9.6 billion dinars and by 10.5% of the total.

He added that the average session of the volume of trading is about 1.5 billion dinars compared to about 1.6 billion dinars during the fourth quarter of 2017, where the number of trading sessions during this chapter 61 trading session against 59 trading sessions for the fourth quarter of 2017.

Shares traded
He pointed out that the number of shares traded during the first quarter of 2018 to nearly 139.1 billion shares compared to about 133.2 billion shares during the fourth quarter of 2017 and a rise of 4.5 percent, noting that the number of shares for the first chapter fell by 55 , 1 percent of what was in the first
quarter for the year 2017.

"The banking sector ranked first in terms of the number of shares traded and amounted to about 117.7 billion shares and 84.6 percent of the total, followed by the industrial sector where it reached The number of shares amounted to 17.9 billion shares, accounting for 12.9 percent of the total; My blood , where the number of traded shares amounted to nearly 2.3 billion shares and 1.7 percent of the total.

Number of contracts
The number of contracts executed amounted to 32.3 thousand contracts, compared with 20.9 thousand contracts for the fourth quarter of 2017, an increase of 54.7 percent, stressing that the number of contracts for the first quarter rose by 4.1 percent from what it was In the first quarter of 2017. "

"The industrial sector ranked first in terms of number of contracts, where the number of contracts amounted to approximately 12.7 thousand contracts and 39.4% of the total, followed by the banking sector where the number of contracts about 10.3 thousand contracts and by 32 , And the third place in the hotel sector where the number of contracts executed about 3.5 thousand contracts and by 10.8 percent of the total.

"The average number of transactions executed reached 529.1 contracts during the first quarter of 2018 compared to 353.7 contracts during the fourth quarter of 2017.

For the non-Iraqis, the report showed that "the purchase of foreign investors during this chapter amounted to 24219.4 million dinars, more than their sale, which amounted to 13486.5 million dinars, which made the net foreign investment to rise to reach 10732.9 million dinars."
