Shura of the call held an "important" meeting today in the presence of al-Maliki and Abadi

The leader of the Islamic Dawa Party, Jassem al-Bayati, announced on Wednesday that a "significant" meeting of the party's party was held this evening in the presence of the party's secretary-general Nuri al-Maliki and Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, stressing that the meeting will focus on how the party will participate in the upcoming elections.

"The Shura of the Islamic Dawa Party will hold an important meeting this evening, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the party and Vice President Nuri al-Maliki and Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi to discuss the issue of electoral alliances and get down to a list or two lists," al-Bayati said in an interview with local media.

"The meeting was scheduled to be held on Tuesday evening, but it was postponed until today," Bayati said, without elaborating the reasons for the postponement.

Al-Bayati said that "the atmosphere within the Dawa Party with the option of two lists," adding that "the meeting will discuss the mechanism of the lists and how to distribute the leaders and members of the party on the lists."
