International debt: Iraq's debt will rise to 132.6 billion dollars

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) announced that the Iraqi debt will reach 122.9 billion dollars this year, and expects to rise to 132.6 billion dollars next year.

"Iraqi debt in 2017 is $ 122.9 billion and will rise next year to $ 132.6 billion," the International Monetary Fund (IMF) said in a statement issued after the conclusion of the second review of the performance of the Iraqi economy under the credit standoff and Article IV consultations of 2017.

The statement added that "the external government debt is currently 67.5 billion dollars and will be next year 73.7 billion dollars," noting that "government debt constitutes 63.8% of gross domestic product".
